Design Process

In most cases, the garden design process begins with a site meeting to look at your living space and to discuss your needs, wishes and budgetary options. This is followed by an accurate site survey, encompassing all existing features; boundarys, trees, services and levels.

The second step would be the presentation of concepts and ideas to you in the form of drawings and 3D elevation sketches which will, with explanation and discussion formulate the lead design.

Upon finalizing your agreed design Anthony will then produce a full set of working drawings, planting plans, and a bill of quantities for costing and construction.

Importance of design

Garden design provides both creative and practical support to the challenge of transforming your garden and living space. Moreover it is the thought process of design that encourages both the designer and the client to consider all aspects and potential of any site within any budget.

A scaled design allows for accurate quantifying when preparing a bill of quantities for pricing, irradiating guesswork; time wasting and costly mistakes.

Construction Management

Designer on-site involvement is the key to final design interpretation, finish and a smooth construction exercise.

To ensure optimum quality of construction for your finalized design Anthony offers a full project management service, with regular site visits and ongoing consultation with both you and the build team throughout the construction and planting stages.
